Weigall, famous Egyptologist and author, died mysteriously In a London hospital. weigall s death recalled the curse of Tutankhamen, which was that a'.l persons present at the famous tomb when it was openedyor who had any connection . with its opening would "die a mysterious death." Dr Weigall was present when Klng.Tut's tomb was laid bare. ' Egyptian seers first stated that the "Curse of Tutankhamen" was for Lord Carnarvon and his kin, but this was amended later to include many others. Lord Carnarvon died in 1923. Carter almost died. Reginald L. Wendell, brother of Countess Carnarvon, died in 1928 of spinal meningitis st the age of 29.
