Hawke'Sr., 51, of 1413 Chestnut St., a retired Joy Manufacture ing Co. employe, died at 6:40 .m. Sunday in the Franklin Hospital. Bora June 24, 1916, at Grove CHy, he was the son of Herbert W. Hawke Sr. and Emma Flickner Hawke. He was married May 3, 1940, it Victory Heights to the former Jernice L. Eaton, who survives. . Mr. Hawke attended Everybody's Mission and was employed as a file clerk for Joy unlil ill health forced his retirement. A veteran of World War II, ;ervcd with the 3706 Army-Air Force Base Unit. He joined Ihe en-ice July 26, 1945, at Pitts- urgh, and received h i s discharge April 4, 1946, at Fort George G. Meade, Md. In addition to his wife, Bcr- nice, he is survived by one dsuglilcr, Mrs. F,rncsl (Evelyn) Swartzfager of Utica; Ihrae sons, Richard E. jr. of Frankin and John F. and Thomas Hawke, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Curry (Gertrude)' Harrah, Mrs. William (Cecil) Heller, Mrs. Clyde (Sandra) Welshaiis, Miss Gladys H. Hawke and Emma Lou Hawke, all of Franklin; .a brother, Herbert W. Hawke Jr. of' Franklin;' and three grandchildren. .Three brothers,:...Raymond,. Burton 'and . Andrew Hawke, lreceeded him in death. Ray- mood was killed in action during World War II. Removal was made lo the Burger Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 lo 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will.be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home! Rev.
