SUICIDE ENDS THE CAREER OF JACOB F. HILL Body of Well - Known Trap Shooter Found Hanging in Bedroom WAS A FAMILIAR FIGURE Jacob F. Hill, one of the best known residents of the city, ended his life by hanging sometime Tues. day at his rooming house, 26 South Fourth street. His body was found hanging from a sash cord tied to the end of the brass bed In his room, last evening, at 7.46 o'clock, by Officer Clark and a nephew, Harry Shunk, living at 29 South Fourth street Coroner Schmehl was notified and after viewing the body declared him dead at least 12 hours. Mr.. Hill spent all of his time at the American House, Fourth and Penn streets, and was known by most every resident and business man in that vicinity. Not being seen on his daily rounds all of Tues day, w. M. Hoover, a barber, at Fourth and Cherry strets, called it to the attention of several of Hill's Intimate friends, and they in turn notified Officer Clark last evening. The officer, with Mr. Shunk, visit ed the rooming house and inquired from the mistress where Mr. Hill was. She said she had not seen him all day and they decided to make an investigation, which led to the dls covery of his body. ; The body was removed to the re taining parlors of Undertaker Au man, from where the funeral will likely.be held. Was Seventy - one v Mr. Hill was seventy - one years old and was the son of Conrad and Susan Hill, both deceased. He was born at Walnutown, near Fleetwood, but , (Turn to Page. Four, Column One)
