John C. Corcoran's career
Detective John C. Corcorano has been on the force einoe 1870 and haa tho reputation of being a shrewd aud a faithful officer. He waa appointed patrolman on July 11, 1870, and was made a detcotive about three years ago. His colleague, Deteotivo George B. Campbell, bogau as a doorman in the Sixth precinct in 1874. and served in that capacity for one year, when he was mado a patrolman. Teu years later he was appointed as one of the deteotives attaohed to tho 8ixtu sub preoinot and in 1888 he was transferred to the Fifth, where he haa since remained.
