The color used i.i "The Wizard of Oz" is brilliantly btauti-; btauti-; ful, quite appropriate to such a fanciful ta'e, the music is as Joyous and preposterous as the story itself, and Judy Garland is very sweet, very lovely as the heroine of the picture. There are gay dances, humor that is irresistible if profoundly inconsequential, inconsequential, a procession of happy, soul refreshing incidents. I have had practically no experience in determining the worth of performances of Scarecrows, Tin Woodmen, Cowardly Lions, watches and wizards, but my amateur opinion is that Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Billie Burke, Margaret Hamilton and Frank Morgan were triumphant in roles of these typos.
