Albert F. Peters Albert F. Peters, 601 N. Walnut Ave., who farmed in Stephenson County and later worked for the County Highway Department, died Thursday night in Stephenson Nursing Center following an extended illness. He was born April 17, 1886, in Winnebago Winnebago County, son of Fred and Sophia (Marburg) Peters. On Jan. 15, 1907, he married Emma Rossow. She died March 6, 1964. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ida Toelke of Freeport; two sons, Louis of Freeport Route 3 and Roy of Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter of Freeport. He was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, three sisters sisters and a brother. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Frazier, pastor of Winneshiek Evangelical Free Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial memorial fund has been established.
