Pu Gar Marty The r y man during ago. into Palmer E. Peterson Palmer E. Peterson, 71, Mer cer, died Tuesday at the Vet erans Hospital at Iron Moun tain, where he had been a tient three weeks. The deceased was born in Ironwood Jan. 31, 1897 and at tended the Ironwood schools. served in the Army in Worlc War I, and was employed as salesman for the Oneida Liquor Co., Rhindlander, for manj years, retiring several years ago. Mr. Peterson was a mem her of the Mercer American gion Post and the Gen. Persh ing Barracks of World War Veterans. Surviving are three sisters Mrs. Richard Collins of Mercer Mrs. Clarence Gimson and Mrs Ralph Johnson of Chicago; tw brothers, William of Kingsfori and Hilrner of Milwaukee. Funeral services will be heli Friday at 2 p.m. at the Eng strom Funeral Home, Hurley with the Rev. Thomas Spiegel berg officiating. Burial will bi at the Mercer Cemetery. The funeral home will be for visitation after 2 p.m. Thurs day. Friends, who wish, may con tribute to the building fund o Zion Lutheran Church, Mercer
