To - day's testimony was to the effect that Wilson on the 26th of January, when the alleged killing took place, was seen drinking from a pint bottle of whisky which he carried In his pocket ; that the signature of Daley on the back of the $87 check which Mr. Kats gave Wilson for three cows, and payable to Daley's order, was a forgery, and the Jury compared the signature signature with Daley's genuine signature on a note. It was also shown that after Wilson burned the Daley house be was employed at William Frieburg'a, 914 South Thirty - fourth street, West Philadelphia, as a stableman, and by William Naur, residing near the New York Junction Depot in Philadelphia. While employed at the latter place he one day accidentally met Francis Daley, brother of Anthony, who inquired after bis missing brother, and it was further ahown that the same day he packed up his clothes and clandestinely left Maur's.
