GIANT BULL MOOSE ON TRACK Stops YIHIIonalrc» Special at Lenox, MamnachnMirttH. LENOX, Ma.»«., Oct, 20.—The ".MlIHon- alres Special” bound from Pittsfield to New York with several members of the local colony aboard, was held up just outside the I^enox station. A giant bull moose from the ©.state of William C. Whitney, one of a herd of sixteen sixteen which gathen'd near the tracks, got in front of the engine aivi prepared to charge the train. It looked as tho either the moo.se or the engine was about to suffer considerable damage when Conductor Fred Scott, cor- netist and mooseologlst, dug out his cornet cornet and, going to the rear platform, began began tooting "raiike© Doodle.” At the sound of the sweet strain» the moo.se bai'ked up and then started on a nin for the back of the train. The minute he got out of the engine’s path Engineer Bert Shepard started full ajK-ed ahead.
