Brown Elected As Broad River ' Co-op Co-op Co-op Manager Brondus V. Brown, 34, of La fayette, La., was elected manager of the Broad River Rural Electric Co-operative Co-operative Co-operative at a meeting of the directors here Thursday night. Mr. Brown la a son of Broadjis Brown, of the Goucher community, community, where he was reared. He will succeed A. L. McClure, former former manager, whose resignation became effective June 16. Mr. P.rown attended Pacolet High School and graduated from jClemson College in 1942. He holds the bachelor of scienco and agricultural engineering degrees, lie served four years in the army during the war. ' He has been in REA type work since leaving the service in 1946. He was manager of the REA at Wagoner, Okla., and has been rural rural development representative of Central Louisiana Electric Company at Lafayette since last year. He will Jegin his work here July 1, relieving J. A. Harrill, of Washington, of the management division of REA, who has been charge since Mil McClure left. All nine Broad River directors attended the meeting which was. presided over by Carlisle Hart, of Kelton, route 1, the president, Mr. Brown is married and, he and his wife have two children.
