Man, 84, Found Dead In Bed George W. Payne, 84, was found clead in bed Saturday morning morning at the home of a son, Curtis, 504 E. Park Ave., Du Quoin, where he had been visiting for three weeks. He had been under a doctor's care for a fractured shoulder blade in the past year and had been living living with a daughter, Mrs. Asa Wilson, Wilson, 306 S. Pine St. Zeigler, for three months. A coroner s inquiry will be held m Du Quoin. He was a retired miner and & member of United Mine Workers local 38. He had lived in Zeigler 36 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Payne's wife, Delia, died :n Macch. He leaves two other chil- chil- dren, Clarence of Zeigler and Mrs. Chester Browning of Du Quoin; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Zeigler First Baptist Church with the Vantrease Funeral I lome n chargie. The Rev. Albert Moore, pastor will officiate. officiate.
