2 Die In Night Crashes, One A Glen Rock Native Two men, 'one from Glen Rock and one from Tennessee, lost their lives in separate auto accidents in the Southern part of the county late Thursday and early Friday. William II. "Ham" Shue, 62. Glen Rock RD 1, was pronounced dead on arrival at York Hospital following a two-car two-car two-car accident about 10:20 p.m. Thursday, on Route 616 in Codorus Township, one-and-a-half one-and-a-half one-and-a-half one-and-a-half one-and-a-half one-and-a-half one-and-a-half miles north of Glen Rock. The other death, that of Glendon E. Jeffers, 37, of Chattanooga, Tenn.. occurred about 3:15 a.m.. Friday, when Jeffers failed to stop at a stop sign on the Norman Wood Bridge Road at Route 74, State Police said. Police said the Jeffers car struck an embankment after going through the intersection. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Josiah A. Hunt, a deputy county coroner. Jeffers was a pipefitter believed to have been employed at Peach Bottom and to be staying in the Delta area. The car was found by passersby. The Shue accident occurred. State police said, when Shur. apparently apparently failed to negotiate a turn in the road, hitting an oncoming car in the left front fender. The Shue car continued south for about 1,000 feet and struck the house of Mrs. Treva Sterner, Glen Rock RD 2. Police identified the driver of the other car as Carl A. Wolf, 65. of 1227 W. College Ave. Wolf v uninjured, police said. Husband of Mrs. Helen Schmied Shue, Mr. Shue was a son of the late Samuel M. and Sadie Bortner Shue. A member of the 25-year 25-year 25-year Club at the York Division of Borg-warner Borg-warner Borg-warner Corporation, he also held membership membership in Glen Rock Hose and Ladder, Seven Valleys , Community, Community, Stoverstown and Royal Fire Companies; New Freedom Post 7012, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Ninth Ward Republican Club and Prince and Glen Rock Athletic Associations.. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Peter J. Shue ML Holly Springs, four grandchildren, grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters, Fred Shue, 514 Du Pont Ave.; Samuel E. and Zoe Shue and Mrs. Annabel Benton, all of 221 Grantley St.; George Shue Jacobus, and Robert Shue, 443 VV King St. Funeral services will be 10 a. m Tuesday at the Robert F. Holier Funeral Home, 2000 W. Market St., by the Rev. Millard Kroh, associate pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, with interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Yorkers
