after to ac.... to as- come of Commendation Promotion Go To Reservists FORT IRWIN, Calif. - A promotion to the rank of cap- lain, an Army Commendation Medal and five letters of commendation were presented at Fort Irwin last weekend to of a Southeastern Idaho Army Reserve unit. The 400 Idahoans are among 6,000 men from seven western states undergoing their annual two-week summer training exercise on the Mojave Desert. Hal R. Neddo, Pocatello, commander of Company A, 372nd Quartermaster Battalion, was promoted from first lieutenant to captain. Another officer of the 372nd, First Lt. Howard B. Green, Idaho Falls, platoon leader of Company A, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal his efforts while serving in Vietnam from October, 1965, to September, 1966. Receiving letters of commendation were Capt. James Wright, commander of Company B; Pvt. Jerry R. Michener, Twin Falls, for service he performed while on six months active duty at Ford Ord, Calif.; Sgt. Craig W. Miller, Sgt. W. Buscher and Spec/5 Robbie G. Collins, all of Twin" Falls. Major R. P. Fasolino, battalion commander, made the presentations. While at Fort Irwin, the Quartermaster Battalion established showers, laundry, baking, and shoe and clothing repair facilities for the reservists. Major Fasolino said the units capable of supporting at least 30,000 men in any environment
