Robert Van Fossen DENNISON — Robert Melvin Van Fossen, 72, of 131S. 6th st., who retired in 1965 as a Penn-Central Railroad conductor, died Friday in Twin City Hospital after being ill six weeks. Born in Belmont Ridge, he was a son of Frank and Jessie Tipton Van Fossen and was a member of Park Christian Church, Park Grange and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are his widow, the former Ella M. Wright, two sons and a daughter, John M. of Richmond, Va., Ronald G. of Mishawaka, Ind., and Mrs. Robert (Marcia) Starkey of Tuscarawas, and six grandchildren. A brother and two sons preceded him in death. Services will be Monday at 10 in R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Hill officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
