Three Students Selected To Attend Girls State FAYETTEVILLE (RNS) -Three Fayetteville High School students have been selected to attend Rhododendron Girls State at Jackson's Mill. They are Judy Young, sponsored by the Fayelleville Senior Woman's Club; Rachel Ilene Woolwine, sponsored by the Fayetteville J u n i o r Woman's Club; and Kitty Beth Hambrick, sponsored by Legion Auxiliary 149 of the American Legi6n, Fayetteville. Miss Young is Ihe daughter of Mrs. George Young and Ihe late Mr. Young. She is a'mem- ber of the Pep Club, reporter for the Gangplank, school paper, Future Homcmakers of America, Glee Club, county chorus, regional chorus, annual staff, Rainbow Girls and was a. junior high cheerleader. She is a "B" Honor Roll student. She attends the Fayetteville Baptist Church. Miss Woolwine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Woolwine of 'Route 2, Fayetteville. She is a member of the Cotton IIU1 Baptist Church where she is treasurer of the Baptist Youth Fellowship and sings in the young peoples choir. At Fayetteville High School, she is a member of the Thespian Troupe, Pep Club, Glee Club and was class cheerleader for four years. She is a member of the Fayettevilic Juniorcttcs and was elected to the post of vice president for the coming year. Her hobbies include swimming, skiing, and roller skating. Miss Hambrick is th» daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Hambrick of 125 Fayette Avenue. She i s treasurer of the junior class at Fayetteville High School, vice president of Teens Against Cancer, president of Pirate Pepsters-Pep Club, and a staff member of the school paper, Gangplank. She is a member of the FHS band, clarinet choir, Student Council, P i r. a.t Treasure Chest, annual staff, all-county band and has attended the Montgomery Clinic Band.
