CARRIGAN Janet Christine Nixon Marries David Carrigan One of the lovely nuptial events of the summer was the marriage and reception of Miss Janet Christine Nixon to David Farley Carrigan. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Nixon, 2814 iccles, and the bridegroom is a son of Mrs. James Carrigan of Peterson, and the late Mr. Carrigan. TEMPLE CEREMONY The impressive ceremony was solemnized Aug. 13 in the Logan ,DS Temple, after which the ridegroom's mother hosted a uncheon at Maddox for the sridal party. The Mount Ogden Stake Cen- ;er was the setting for their reception reception the following evening. The bride was lovely in a loor length gown of brocaded jeau de soie, styled with a sa- rina neckline and a fitted bodice. bodice. Her veil of sheer brides illusion fell from a crown of pearls. BRIDAL BOUQUET The bridal bouquet consisted of a white orchid surrounded by pink and white feathered carnations. carnations. Mrs. Kent Spencer attended the bride as matron of honor, with Miss Carolyn Wilberg, Betty Moyle, and Miss Ann Wilberg as bridesmaids., and Miss Anabeth Nelson as j u n bridesmaid. They wore identically styled gowns in shades of pink with softly pleated skirth, and sashes sashes of moss green velvet. They wore dainty velvet wrist bands from which were suspended balls of white pompons trimmed trimmed with net and ribbon streamers. BEST MAN Paul Dickson performed the duties of best man, with B. Nixon, Douglas Nelson and Stephen Nixon acting as ushers. The bride was entertained extensively prior to the wedding. Following a honeymoon trip Yellowstone they will make home in Peterson. Both are graduates of Utah State University and are at present teaching in the Ogden schools.
