WEEK-END CAKE. (Mrs. Ralph R. Blair, Star Route, Box 9, Stephenville. $5 prize winner.) 1 package yellow cake mix. 1 package lemon jello. 4 eggs. ½ cup cooking oil. ½/ cup milk. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1 teaspoon lemon extract. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add jello to cake mix and salt and baking powder. Then add milk and cooking oil and beat 300 strokes. Add unbeaten eggs and extract and beat two minutes. Bake slowly in loaf pan until golden brown. Cover with favorite icing. The cake is rich and moist when served plain.
