Executed 06/25/1943. ---- 35-year-old Robert Gray was convicted of murdering Zelda Karchmer, 26, with a razor after she resisted his advances. ---- Joseph E. Sheppard and Donald Millard, 25 and 19 respectively, were convicted of murdering 64-year-old George Landry during an escape attempt. They murdered 3 guards during the attempt but were only convicted of one of their murders. Millard was a native of Nashua, New Hampshire.
