WHEREAS in purfuance of an zt of General Aflembly cf this province, intituled, an at for granting the fum of Sixty Thoufand Pounds for the King's ufe, and for (hiking Fifty Thoufand Pounds thereof in bills f credit, and to provide a fund for finking the fame, the following traft of lo cated and unimproved land, was duly valued nnd rated by the alienors tor the county of Cumberland, the propercy of Johfa Singleton, in Chefter county, to wit, a tracl of land, containing about 600 acres, fnuate in Weft Pennftorough townfiiip, in the county of Cumberland, bounded by lands of William Parker, deceafed; and whereas thr owner of faid traft of land hath neglefled to pay the collefter of faid townfiiip, the fum of Four Pounds Eleven Shillings and Six - pence, which, according to the faid valuation, wa! aflfe (Ted and laid upon faid land, as the proportion thereof for feveral yefrs pad for faid tax by the aft impofed : We, the com - muiioneri or ine county or cumoenino aiurciaiu, u fiiuu of faid aft, do give notice, that on Tuefday, the fecond day of May next, at the houfe of Tohn Pollock, in the town of Car - lifle, we will expofc to faie, by public vendue, the above - men - tioned traft of located unimproved land, or fuch part thereof, as will be fufficient to anfwer the faid tax, and all charges accru - ing,. by reafon of the non - payment thereof, to the higheft bid - der.
