Laurens students graduate LAURENS -- Students graduated from Laurens C c n trnl School at exercises at the school auditorium on Friday, J u n e 24 were: Alan Anderson, Donna Allen, Philip Balantic, Elizabeth Baldo, Marilyn Baxter, Wcslie Boyea, Royoe Carvin Jr., Gary Coulter, Deborah Delcski, Barry Discala,, Jo Ann Dutcher, Shirley Harrington, Shirley Harrison, David Horing, P a u l a Hulbert, John Isler, Arthur Jacohson, Peter Kappler, Jo Ann Kcator, Dale Knapp, Susan Knapp, Theodore Kbhinke, Walter Kuhn, Noralie Lare, Frederick Liddle, James Louden, Carol Perrine, Carol Me Mullen Perry, Douglas R o s e , John Smally, Gary Smith, Sharon Stcnson, Sharon Stcph e n s Doris Thomas, Dawn VanAlsline Earl Waller, and David Wilson. Ed Dorr, president of t h e board of education awarded diplomas to the thirty-six members of Ihe graduating class present at the ceremonies. The thirty · seventh member of tho class, John Smalley, Is serving as a member ot the Marines in Da Nang, Viet Nam. Mrs. Glenford Smalley accepted the diploma on behalf of her son. Reverend William Witt c o p p, pastor of the Lutheran Church in Laurens, offered the invocation and the benediction. Jo Ann Dulcher gave the saluta- txicy address and Doris Thomas, Hie valedictory. David Wil s o n sang "You'll Never W a l k Alone." Mrs. Darlene D'Aquila accompanied David. The main address o! the evening was entitled "Grow Up and Stay Young." This was presented by Dean Winston Tollcs, Dean of Hamilton College. Members of the Junior Class who participated in the exercises as ushers and usherettes were Marshal William F 1 nk, Nafalic Howard, Patricia Mills, Linda Vanlloesen, Chris t i n e Wenck, Lynn Harrison, Duanc Hill, Denton Reed, and William Stone. Awards and g i v e n were: American History award, Beth Drake; Citizenship Education award, Earl V/alter, Commercial Award, JoAnn Dutcher; Dramatics Award, Doris Thomas; French 3 Award, Beth Drake; Homemaking A w a JoAnn Keatoi" Industrial Arts Award, Jay Smith, and Instrumental music award, Gary Smitn. Mathematics 10 or 11 Award, Emily Timer; Mathematics 12 Award, Deborah Deleskl; Outstanding Citizenship A w a r Alan Anderson; Science 7 or 8 Award, Gale Schloupt; Science 11 or 12 Award, Emily Timer; Vocal Music Award, David Wilson; World History Award, JCathryn Johnson, and "I Dare You" award, Marilyn Baxter and Earl Waller, D.A.R.
