} Mrs. Hebbel, 84, Glidden Pioneer, Is Taken By Death GLIDDEN (THNS) — After being in declining health for two years, Mrs. Sarah E. Hebbel, widow of Frederick Hebbel, died at her home one and one-h a 1 f miles northwest of Glidden about 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. She was 84 years old. Funeral serv- l-ices are to be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church ' Mrs. Hebbel in Glidden. The Rev. C. Wayne Overholser of Marshalltown formerly of Glidden, will officiate. Burial will be beside her husband in Wcstlawn cemetery. Pallbearers, six grandsons, will be Wilbur Gordon, Gilbert and Fred Berns, Russell and Warren Gute and John Riedesel. * * • Tile body was returned from (he Huffman Fimeral home in Carroll to the family residence near Glidden this afternoon. * * * Mrs. Hebbel was a pioneer to this community, where she had lived since 1882. She was born Sarah E. Hoist, daughter of John C. and Mary Hoist, October 4, 1862, at LeClaire, Iowa. Her marriage to Mr. Hebbel took place February 9, 1882, at Moline, 111. Came to County In Marcli In March of the same year Mr. and Mrs. Hebbel came to Carroll county to live on the farm which has been Mrs. Hebbel's home during the ensuing years. Mr. Hebbel died February 4, 1934. Mrs. Hebbel ia survived by five daughters, M r s. J. K. Gordon (Lena), Onawa; Mrs. Joe Gute (Mabel), Glidden; Mrs. William Berns (Frieda), Glidden, Edith and Lillian, at home, and a foster son, Andy H. Buss, of Glidden.
