Mrs. Alton taught several Hu ron County rural schools, includ ing New River, Shepherd, Hel ena and Davidson. She was employed by Chrysler Corporation during World War II. Mrs. Alton is survived by a son, Donald D. Alton, Grindstone City; a daughter, Mrs. Marguer-etta Schubring, Kinde; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, seven stepgrandchil-dren and a brother, Russell Sampson, Kinde. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Grindstone City United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert P. Garrett will officiate. Burial will be in New River Cemetery. The remains are in Alden A. nu.?. tiieo luesday in Kiver Distiict hospital after a long illness. She was born June 23, 1920, in Moline, III., was a former Detroit resident, and lived in St. Clair the last three months, She was married to Edgar O Schill June 9, 1945, in East Moline, III. Mrs. Schill was a member of 779, East Moline Chapter No, OES. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Jennifer A. Mc- Cormick, St. Clair, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Allen, East Moline. Remains will be in L. C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held there at 2 n.m. MacAlpine Funeral Home and,Friday with Rev. Horace B will be removed at noon Friday to the church. Loomis, pastor of First United Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside announced the daughters,
