He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cleo Hendry, Croswell; a brother, Robert, Lexington; and a sister, Mrs. Diane Rickett, Sandusky. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Pomeroy Funeral Home. Elder Ralph Fetting of the RLDS Church will officiate. Burial will be In Lexington Cemetery. Visiting hours are after 11 a.m. today in the funeral home. Arthur Shain PORT HURON - Arthur "Art" Shain, 64, of 819 16th St., died Friday, July 13, 1979, in Port Huron Hospital after a nine months illness. Mr. Shain owned and operated Shain Photo Service until closing the business in 1968. He was born May 30, 1915, in LaCr-osse, Wis., and was an area resident most of his life. He married Jane E. Morrison Oct. 23, 1937, in Port Huron. Mr. Shain served as a U.S. Army medic during World War II. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and Port Huron Lodge 343, BPOE. He is survived by his wife; a son, William C, Newington, Conn.; two grandchildren; a brother, George W., Mary-sville; four sisters, Thelma Shain, Detroit, and Mrs. Clarence (Jessie) Stimson, Mrs. Jack (Eleanor) Hale, and Mrs. William (Elaine) Cummins, all of Port Huron. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Canon D. Roy Lees, rector of Grace Episocpal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. George Mericka, Charles Emerick, Bill Hampton, Charles Dowd, Pat Dowd and Carly Cox will be pallbearers. Don Schatzline, William and Robert Dailey will be honorary pallbearers. Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Grace Church or the Cancer Society of St. Clair County. Donald E. Somerville GOODELLS Donald E. Somerville, 47, of 6021 Lapeer Road, died Friday, July 13, 1979, in Port Huron Hospital after a brief illness. . He was born June 2, 1932, in Petoskey and was an area resident for the past 35 years. He married Betty Eagle Sept. 15, 1954, in Port Huron. Mr. Somerville was an employee of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad until becoming ill. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Hall, Port Huron; two grandchildren; his father, Isreal Somerville, Port Huron; his mother, Mrs. Emma Wynne, Goodells; a brother, Richard, Goodells; two halfsisters, Mrs. Kenneth Brown, Port Huron, and Mrs. Carol Peterson, Lexington; and three halfbrothers, David Hastings, Dennis Carlson and Rex Somerville, all of Port Huron.
