Amberson, died Sunday evening at the Chambersburg Hospital where he had been ill for two weeks. Born November 14.1899. at Amberson. he was the son of the late Herbert and Jennie (McVitty) Piper. A farmer, he was a member of the Amberson United Presbyterian Church. His wife, Mary M. Eckenrod. preceded him in death March 20. 1978. He was also predeceased by his daughter. Mrs. Louise Hoover. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Amberson United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James S. Tinkey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Washington St., Gettysburg, who died Wednesday at Warner Hospital, were Friday morning at Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, with Rev. William T. Haviland, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Kermit Spence, .Guy Harry Kane, Theodore Charles Kranias, and Barry Showers. Thomas R. Collins Thomas R. Collins, 75,26 St., Littlestown, died the York Hospital, Sunday. son of the late James and Alice G. (Buddy) Collins, he was a retired employee of the Hanover Shoe Co. and .a member of Catholic Church, Littlestown. Surviving are his wife, Carla M. (Bankert) Collins; five children, James Richard and Daniel Collins of and George B. Donald E. Collins, and Mrs. Robert (Susan) Bittie, all of Hanover; 11 grandchildren; ' three great- grandchildren; two sisters. Miss Winnefred Collins, Littlestown; Mrs. Hilda Sanders, Littlestown; and two Celsus Collins,. Littlestown, and Fred Collins, Colebrook. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. the Littlestown Funeral Home followed by a mass of burial at St. Aloysius Church at 10 a.m. the Rev. Clarence A. officiating. Interment will be at the St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home evening.
