Mrs. Spelman 9 s Mother Dies In Washington Mrs. John Spelman, of 208 Brown School road. St. Joseph, wife of former Berrien county prosecuting attorney, has received received word of the death of her mother. Mrs. Jean C. ColllnÂ»- wood. 64.. of Washington. D. who died at 8 p. her home. m. Monday at Mrs. Collingwood was born Nov. 19, 1895, in Centerville, Mich., the daughter of Frank and Eloise Cummings. In 1955, Ml . s _ she was chosen "Mother of On Year" for the District of C b' a - j Buchanan at the then Besides Mrs. Spelman. surviv- ors include three sons, Charles, a news commentator for CBS New York. Tom. of Hawaii, and. the Rev. G. H. Collingwood, of Junction City. Kan.; two other daughters, Mrs. Eloise Pres- colt, of West Virginia and Mrs. Rebecca McHale, of Charlotte, C.; two sisters, Mrs. Jo Manbeck and Mrs. Debbie Knott. both California and 13 grandchildren. Her husband, G. H. Collingwood, Sr., preceded her in death in 1959 Funeral services will be tomorrow at 3 p. m. in the Morelanc Congregational church igreg; in Washington, D. C. The family has suggested the contributions be made to the West Moreland Congregational church junior choir.
