ThreeDie,50Hurt In Baltimore Parish Blaze Crowd Attending Party Made Rush For The Front Entrance. BALTIMORE, Dec. 7 (£)--A bil- lowing ceiling fire which sped with lightning rapidity through a Catho- lic parish hall left at least three women patrons of a church card party dead today and more than 50 injured. A fourth person died of a heart attack while watching the spectacu- lar blaze which sent some 200 sons scrambling for exits from old frame hall at St. Ambrose Catholic Church last night. \ Two of the fire victims, at first believed to be a man and a and, remained unidentified until day, when relatives said the char- red bodies were those of Mrs. Emn«t Sachs, 40; and Mrs. Rosa Poessnecker, 64. Mrs. Ada Nixon. 58, of Baltimore, who was burned about the face and head and crushed in the rush for the doors, died shortly after midnight at Un- ion Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Mary A. Wise. 65. who fered a heart attack while watch- ing the flames, died at her home a few minutes later. Seventeen persons still were tients at hospitals today, and of them were reported to be in critical condition. The condition of a f o u r t h was described ous.
