Editor Press:—The fair weather of the last week was very acceptable acceptable to the farmers of this vicinity The Arkansas river at this-writing this-writing is still receding and the farmers are .preparing to plant the over-, flowed sections again. Active preparations are going on for the Annual Decoration Service, to be held at the Paw Paw Cemetery, May 19, 1912. •Several of the farmers living along the Arkansas -river near here, done some levee work before the recent high water and;, as a result, several farms were protected protected which, Otherwise, would have been partly or wholly overflowed, overflowed, f Rev. S. Shackleford of Grans, preached here Sunday last; A large and attentive audience was iin attendance.} This was;Brother Shackelford's first visit .since re covering from his recent severe sickness; Rev. J. E. Floyd of'Sallisaw, preached here, on Friday night, 3. ±
