NOW - Bigger Donut Shop - Air Conditioned In 1948, Bernie Leinfelder retired because of his health, visited Orange City and in two hours bought most of the long block on Volusia Avenue. They all laughed. "Look at that old Yankee spend his money." In 1950, he decided to try a donut shop. "My health was so good by then, I couldn't lie around any longer." Business boomed.
