ei-jiress of a a (SATURDAY EVENING State Democratic Central Committee Committee Reduces Number of Delegates. The State Democratic t'entral Committee Committee meeting in the Hotel Marion late Friday afternoon voted to hold the next state convention in Hot Springs, September 5 and 0. in accordance with a recommendation made at the last state convention-held convention-held convention-held in this city. The committee reduced the number of delegates and alternates to the next convention by amendiug the party rules so as to allow one delegate from each county for every 400 votes or majority fraction of 200 polled in ths governor's race. Previously one delegate had been allowed each county for every 175 Totes Dolled in the governor a race. Several minor changes in the rules were made to conform to the statutes and amendments to the Bruudidge pri mary law. The committee elected Peter A. Diesch of Helena to succeed Aoios Jar man, deceased, as a member of the com lnittee. Vincent M. Miles of Fort Smith, na tional committeeman, stressed the im- im- IMjnance of a completion of Arkansas quota for the last national campaign.
