Nineteen Get ¡Su rsing Certificates Nineteen women received certificates for completion of the practical nursing program at El Paso Community College recently in an out-of-sequence [graduation program. The students began their training last I November in a special program ¡class which was approved after the start of the 1969 school year. :The graduation took place in St. ¡Mary’s Catholic Church where a non sectarian program launched the graduates on their new ea- ¡reer. Participating in the ceremony were Mrs. Jean Beran, execu Itive secretary of the Colorado State Board of Practical Nursing who gave the commcnce- ijment address; the Rev. Milton I j Proby of St. John’s Baptist !Church, Mrs. R. Boofon Brown, coordinator of EPCC practical I nursing program; Sister Mary Angus, chairman of Health Oc cupations; Mrs. Mary Haver!ping, class president and valedi*- | torian; Ed Elbert, organist and soloist and the Rev. Daniel O’Connor, assistant pastor of St Mary’s Church.
