MARY E. POSTLEWAITE ADAIR, 85, of 1515 Wayne Ave., Indiana, died Friday, July 30,1982, at Indiana Hospital. A daughter of William and Zilla Means Postlewaite, she was born June 3,1897, at Valier, Jefferson County. Mrs. Adair was a member of Calvary United Presbyterian Church and Circle Six of that church. She lived most of her life in Homer City and the past 11 years in Indiana. Mrs. Adair worked for many years at Indiana Hospital as a private duty nurse. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 299 of Indiana; the Indiana Hospital Alumni Association; and World War I Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, WUson M. Adair of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters: Mrs. Robert (Betty) Aikman of Bethlehem, and Mrs. Jack (Fanny) Brencic of Indiana; eight grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; a brother, William Postlewaite of Punxsutawney; two sisters: Mrs. Finley (Fanny) Brown of Mayport, and Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Gray of Fort Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Adair, in 1971. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 79 p.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held Sunday, Aug. 1, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Richard D. Adams wiU officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Indiana. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Presbyterian Home of Indiana. The Order of Eastern Star Chapter 299 of Indiana wUl conduct services at 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
