Barbara Ann Weydert Is Gerard Photo Mr. and Mrs. James Chisholm Bride of James Chisholm Clear Lake—Miss Barbara Ann Weydert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Peter Weydert, Ventura, became the bride of James Chisholm, son of Mrs. Rose Chisholm, 433 2nd N. E., Mason City, at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Clear Lake, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Tha Rev. J. J. Buzynski, pastor, read the double ring service. Monsignor R. P. Murphy, Mason City, was present in the sanctuary for the nuptial mass. .Tom Pedelty and Don Mullan served as acolytes. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white floor length dress fashioned with short puff sleeves and an Empire bodice overskirt of white marquisette. Her finger-tip veil had a beaded coronet and she wore long fingerless gloves. Her bouquet of red roses was fan shaped with flower streamers. Sister Wears Green Mrs. Joe Jones was her sister's matron of honor and wore a nile green floor length gown similar to the bride's in style, apple pink fingerless gloves and a shoulder Length veil. She carried a bouquet of small pink carnations. Bob Chisholm, brother of the bridegroom, attended as bestman. Simon Weydert, brother of the bride, and Maurice Rogers, Osage, cousin of the bridegroom, were ushers. Mrs. Weydert, mother of the bride, was attired in a black tie print dress with black accessories. Mrs. Chisholm, the bridegroom's mother, wore a black crepe dress with black accessories. Each had a corsage of red roses and white carnations. Plays Wedding March Mrs. Don O'Neill, organist, played the wedding marches taker* from the collection of Carlo Rossini and accompanied Marvin and Simon Weydert, brothers of the bride, who sang "Jesus Teach Me How to Pray," "Panis Angelicus," "On This Day O Beautiful Mother" and "O Lord, I Am Not Worthy." Following the wedding a reception was held in the church parlors for 148 relatives and friends. After a trip to Dubuque and parts of Wisconsin the couple will be at home in Mason City. Out of town guests attended from Osage, Algona, Whittemore, Ayrshire, Emmetsburg, Luverne, Cylinder, Ventura and Mason City and from New Richmond and Good Thunder, Minn. The bride was graduated from Ventura high school in 1947, and is employed by J. and L. Tire and Supply company, Mason City, as bookkeeper. Mr. Chisholm has a position with Pillsbury company, Mason City. Clear Lake Briefs Mrs. Harry Eliasen rather than Mrs. William Madsen will entertain the Friendly Garden club Wednesday. Thought and Thimble club will be held at the home of Mrs. Frank Miles May 11 instead of May 4. Dick Kempler, Marshalitown, president of the Iowa Junior Chamber of Commerce, will make an official visit in Clear Lake Monday and be guest speaker at the local Junior Chamber of Commerce dinner meeting at Randy's cafe Monday evening. Officers request every member to attend if possible. Brotherhoods of Trinity Lutheran church, Mason City, and of Ellington Prairie and Miller Lutheran churches will be guests of the Zion Lutheran Men's organization Thursday evening at 8 at State a park lodge: Keith Holt is chairman of the food committee. The Clear Lake men furnish the refreshments and the guests the program of the evening. Saws filed, eve. or Sat. Petersen, 509 Carlton St. The Rev. Sam Morris, referred to as "the greatest radio voice of temperance in America" was to present the Sunday school lesson preview over KGLO Sunday morning at 7:30, it was announced Saturday. The Rev. Guy W. Carrell, pastor of the Christian church, was to present the speaker. Mrs. Glenn Thorne was winner of first prize in the Clear Lake Mirror subscription contest which closed Friday afternoon at 4. She gets the $500 cash prize. Mrs. Thorne states that she will use
