Mrs. Fairy Small, Of Ekin, Dies in Tipton Hosp Mrs. Fairy Small, life-long resident of t muni.ty, died at 4:15 in the Tipton Menr tal f route 1. a e Ekin cora- p. m. Sunday at the East Union Christian church, with burial following following in the church cemetery. Rev. Robert Burton will officiate at the final rites! The body will lie in state at the Leatherman-Morri.s Funeral home until 1 p. m. Sunday and from 1 to 2 p. m. at the East Union church. Born, in Hamilton county Nov. 26, 1888, she was the daughter of Newton Newton and Ella (Small) Sturdevant. She-attended'Atlanta schools and graduated from the Indiana Business Business college at Kokomo. On Dec. 22, 1926, she married Clenni« Small in Noblesville. After the marriage they resided near Ekin and were the parents of two children. Her husband died Jan. 31, 1938. i The deceased was a member of the East Union church. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Ella Sturdevant; the two children, Donalqd-A. Small 'and Miss Wilma Small, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Fippen, of North Vernon, Vernon, Mrs. Cecil Illges, of route 2, Atlanta, and Mrs. Gleland Osborn. of Warren; five brothers, Fred Sturdevant, near Boxley, Raymond Sturdevant, of Mechanicsburg, Gilbert, Gilbert, Leonard and Russell Sturdevant, Sturdevant, all living near Ekin; and several several nieces and nephews.
