Monroe police have warned all hotels in the city to watch out for a man calling himself William Mantz Curley, alias C. L. Lambert, who, it is claimed, is a bogus check operator using checks and stationery of the P. F. Collier and Son corporation. Police reported that Curley is wanted for fraud by the United States marshal at Raleigh, N. C. He is accused of passing bogus checks at hotels in North and South Carolina and Virginia.
