Fans to Greet Returning Horace Mann Cubs A welcoming reception is being being planned for the Horace Mann basketball team and coaches, Sunday afternoon, when they return to Maryville, by the public relations committee committee of the Chamber of Commerce. Commerce. Albert Bell and Gene Thompson are in Charge of the reception. Principal Herbert Dieterich of the Horace Mann school assured Thompson and Bell that they would plan to arrive in Maryville between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The committee asks that a group of welcoming cars be at the King Service station at 4 p.m. Sunday to welcome the players back to Maryville. At noon today plans were being formulated formulated to have the fire whistle whistle blow at the time the caravan caravan returns to the city limits. It also is planned to have the Maryville fire engine meet the boys at Kings and carry the team members to the courthouse courthouse square where a short welcoming welcoming program will be held on the west courthouse steps. Rabels Visit in Indiana W. J. Rabel and son, Forrest Rabel, who has his own airplane, flew this morning to Fort Wayne, Ind., where they will visit the parents parents of W. J Rabel. Tonight will be the decisive factor for the Horace Mann Cubs, shown above, who will be seeking seeking their 35th successive win as they meet Pembroke-Country-Day high school of Kansas City in the Class M finals of the basketball tournament at Columbia.
