Mr, and Mrs. Frank Wendell Thompson of St. Louis spent Saturday with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Art Thompson, Art Connaway spent the week end in Rolla, Mo., with his son and wife, Mr, and Mrs. Chester Connaway, Mrs. Clarence Halburg and 'mother Mrs, Harvo Hurst of Kansas City has returned to their home after visiting with friends here. Alrma n 2nd Class Richard Gaston of Co Co, Florida has*, been spending a 15 days -leave with his wife and daughters and his 1 parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loran Gaston will return to his base Wednesday, taking his wife and daughter with him who has been spending some time here with relatives. Airman Gaston has just returned from overseas duty. Mrs. Stella Simmons of Centralia Centralia spent the week end here with her daughter Mrs. Henry Goddard, Mr, and Mrs. Walter Riley of Waltonville was In Dix Monday. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arley Tlnsley Saturday were his brother Ben Tinslcy and Mr. and Mrs. Dwlght Greer and son, all of Wood River, 111., and Mrs. Wanda Payne oj! Con- traiia. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Waller Eller and sons and Gereldene Eller and Larry Van Zandt of Centralis. A birthday dinner, was served at the home of Mr. and. Mrs, Bob Guerrant Sunday in honor of their son Tom Mossbarger. A large dinner was served at the noon hour and Mr. 'Mossberger received several nice gifts. Vernon A birthday dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs Loran Gaston Sunday In honor of their daughter Mrs. Dorothy Randall.
