Antique Muskets Found at Niles W a l l e r Hcntschlcr, secret secret a r y and treasurer of The ( i c n e r a l Machinery Corporal i o n , and vice president of Hooven, Owens, JlenUschtcr C o m p a n y , has in his two muskets, found a few days jiifo by workmen en- KHgcA in making repairs iti (he first p i a n t of the Niles Tool Works. The muskets are of the type used in the Civil war. iUr. Kentschlcr, interested in the antiques, said t o t i a l h a l ten or twelve years when men were digging n well at the Niles, they s t r u t h r o u g h an abandoned v a u l t in which a rlozen of olri muskets and bayonels were found. They were placed in a room and all of them g r a d u a l l y disappeared except the two which were found a few days ago. I t is believed by Mr. TJent schlcr lhat the m'uskcts were placed in the v a u l t during Civil War and about the Lime of t h e Morgan raid, when was feared the Southern lender w o u l d i n v a d e of the c o u n t r y .
