Today's News At Ellis Young Matrons Club Mrs. Lawrence Reed entertained entertained members of the Young Matrons Club at her home Friday Friday afternoon. Following a two o'clock dessert, dessert, the regular business meeting meeting -was held. The new club books were reviewed, and Mrs. J.H. Leisenring read the historian's historian's report. The officers for the new club year are Mrs. Reed, president; Mrs. Le Roy LaShell, vice president; president; Mrs. Henry Keller, secretary-treasurer; secretary-treasurer; and Mrs. L. C. Walker, historian. Members.present were' Mrs. Darwin Kingsley, Mrs. Murray Downing, Mrs. Joe Herbert, Mrs. Weldon Johnson. Mrs. J.H. Leisenring, Mrs. L.C. Walker, Mrs. Le Roy LaShell, Mrs. Henry Henry Keller and Mrs. Reed. Knitting Club Mrs. Rudy Seibel was hostess to members of the Knitting Club Friday afternoon at her home. Three guests, Mrs. George Bray, Mrs. Allen Schoenthaler and Jill Schoenthaler, and the following members were present: present: Mrs. Frank Fuller, Mrs. James Hurt, Mrs. C.E. Rohler, Mrs. F.A. Brown, Mrs. Ernest Egger, Mrs. L.C Walker, Mrs J.R. Nicholson, "and Mrs. Seibel. Luncheon Guests Mrs. John Egger and Mrs. C. E. Rohler were luncheon guests of Mrs. R. C. Gugler, last Wednesday. Mrs. Helen Hopkins and Mrs. Jerry McElvoy of Hays visited friends in Ellis Saturday Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Helget have returned from a vacation trip to Colorado. Mrs. Le Roy LaShell and John spent the weekend in Manhattan with Mr. and Mrs. Frank La- Shell and in Topeka with Mrs. La Shell's mother, Mrs. J. A. Segrist Segrist and other relatives. Murray Downing, J.R. Nicholson, Nicholson, and E.J. Zerfas were in Salina Friday to play golf in a bankers' match. Miss Pam Lenz spent the weekend in Manhattan with her sister, 'Miss Janice Lenz, who attends attends Kansas State University She accompanied Mrs. Le Roy LaSftell and John. Mrs. L. C. Walker and Mrs. C.E. Rohler spent Sunday afternoon afternoon in Hays with friends.
