Houren Houren of Wlldwood, 111., to take over the position left by the death ot James J. Lewis last July. Springman complimented Wat for his "convictln of his opinion and courage in making this appointment appointment though leaving himsel open to criticism," in selecting the man he felt best qualified o the applicants for the job. Prob ability of Communistic authorship was increased, Springman assert ed, by the fact that the circulai was "critical of the fact tha we've hired veterans here."
