The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. '. In Cerritos College District 11 candidates are seeking seeking four seats. The candidates are Louis G. "Lou" Banas, Jr. of Norwalk: R. Joseph Decker, businessman, businessman, of Downey; Hadley F. Morrison, engineer, of Downey; Katie Nordbak, incumbent, of La Mirada; Leslie S. Nottinghal, incumbent, of Artesia; Curtis R. Paxman, incumbent, of Nonvalk; Richard Richonne, educator, jurisprudence, of La Mirada; Claude E. "Pete" Robinson, assistant supervisor, engineer, of Norwalk: Harold T. Tredway, incumbent, of Downey; George M. Valenzuela, health service administrator, of Lakewood; and Dean Watson, businessman, of Downey. Downey. The Cerritos College District includes the cities of Artesia, Bellflower, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Cerritos, Cerritos, La Mirada, Norwalk and a large section of Lakewood. Lakewood. As of Dec. 26, 1974, the college district had 107,555 registered voters. In ABC Unified School District which consists of the cities of Artesia, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens and portions of Norwalk and Lakewood there are eight candidates for four trustee seats to be filled. The candidates are Wesley G. Backus, incumbent; Carole Sue Hoefer. homemaker-music, teacher; James M. Parnell II, children's services administrator; Ray Richard Rodriguez, retail store supervisor; Bruce L. Spangier, r e t a i l merchant; Gretchen A. Whitney, incumbent; George 'Woodworth, school administrative assistant; and Bruce E. Young, incumbent. In Bellflower Unified School District which serves most of Bellflower and a large portion of Lakewood there are three candidates. They are Ruby H. Heyl, incumbent, of Lakewood; Ray Harper Jr., clergyman, of Bellflower and Richard L. Mefferd, businessman, of Bellflower. Dr. Charles Ozanian, veteran member of the board,is not seeking re-election. In Downey Unified School District, where members of the seven-member board are elected by trustee areas, there are nine candidates. Robert G. Cormaek, incumbent, is the only candidate in Area Two and D. Clayton Mayes, incumbent, is unopposed in Trustee' Area Three. The four candidates in Area Four are Thomas G. Battaglia, retired; Glenn L. Holland, customer service manager; Glenn Litscher, pneumatic tool mechanic; and Bruce Watson, restaurant manager. Trustee Area Six candidates are John T. Shea, police officer; Ada C. Steenhoek, teacher-reading specialist; specialist; and Catherine H. Walker, incumbent. In Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District there are seven candidates seeking the three regular four-year terms and four running for the term that expires March 31,1977 which was'vacated last year by the resignation of Jess Vela, who moved from the area. The candidates for the regular four-year terms are Alvin P. "AT Beck, incumbent; Brian R. Beaton, mechanic; Polly Blankenbeckler, incumbent; Lucille Colin, incumbent; Ken Lance, alcoholism counselor; Larry Martin Litwin, businessman; and Nancy Rios, graduate student. Candidates running for the seat left vacant by the resignation of Vela are Alfonso "AT Arias, campus peace officer; David A. Lebow, high school teacher; Jesse Mendoza Luera, director-social services; and Kevin F. Mitchell, educator. Paramount Unified School District voters will fill three trustee seats. Two are for a regular four-year term and the third vacancy was created by the resignation resignation of Akira Kitano two months ago when he moved to Long Beach. . . Candidates for the two regular seats are Benjamin ·Dominguez, regional planning assistant; Joe Ham- mond, incumbent; WiUiam F. Mamo, chnstian^cate chism instructor; Sandra H. Paisley, board president and incumbent; Patrick Tavis, businessman; and Van-Sickle, pharmacist, store owner. Candidates seeking Kltano's place on the Claude F. Aldridge, bus driver; William E. Bdl Carpenter, railroad clerk; Joanne Logsdon, catechism instructor; Joseph P. Sattler, county construction inspector; John Cephas Spear II, supervisdr, ppstal service; and Manuel M. Viana, sales worker. Paramount School District serves all of,Paramount, of,Paramount, the Hollydale section of South Gate, amj sections of Lakewood, Long Beach and Bellflower.
