For the ceremony the altar table was centered by an array of pink and burgundy chrysanthemums and carnations, carnations, flanked by pink candles burning in silver candelabra. Burgundy chrysanthemums and ferns were used in the background. Mrs B. L. Reeves played the organ and Billy Ray Donahue sang. The bride was escorted by her brother, Albert S. Farrior. She wore a princess gown of pink crepe topped by a matching jacket of Chantilly lace. The scalloped neckline, waist and wrists of the dress were encrusted encrusted with pink seed pearls. The shoulder-length veil of pink Chantilly lace was gathered into a pink pearl bandeau. The bride’s only jewelry was a silver coin necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. Her flowers were a cascade of pink roses. The bride's matron of honor and only attendant was her sister, Mrs. W. B. The first of the local events planned as a part of this observance observance is a guest dinner meeting scheduled Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, according to Mrs. Julia Dill, chairman. Thursday morning from 9 to 11 o’clock the club will entertain at a coffee honoring all women who work in the Conference Room of the National Bank of Commerce. Mrs. Dill said an invitation is extended all working women and their employers. National Business Women’s Week was set up in 1928 to honor working women for their contribution contribution to society. In the midst of today’s conflicts it is hoped that the working woman will again find joy in a job well done, and pride in knowing that for every dollar earned a dollar’s worth of good work has been given, Mrs. Dill said. The BPW Club of El Dorado was organized in 1922. It has been a comm unity-minded club throughout the years and the list of projects sponsored by it is long and interesting.
