f> Seniors Get 'Oklahoma 9 Leads *».. -i 1 • ¥»_!.. * • - - ^^^^ ^^^ Sue' Haberlein and Dan Lasher, both seniors »t Allegany High School, will have the. lead-roles of Laurey and Curly in the senior class production of "Oklahoma" to be presented April 1-3 in the school Auditorium. Miss- Haberlein is the daughter- of Mrs. Paul C. A Haberlein and the late Paul C. " Haberlein. She is a sporano soloist and section leader for the school's senior choir. She is a member of the Maryland All-State Chorus, Western Maryland Honor Chorus, and Who's Who Among Musjc Students in American High Schools. She was the recipient of a scholarship to study music at the .West Virginia University Fine Arts Camp this past summer, and has been invited • to spend the summer touring in Europe with the American Youth in concert. She also is active in dramatics and is president of the school's drama club. She is a member 'of the pep club, student government, Tri-Hi-Y, Spanish Club, French Club and the volleyball team. She attends Grace Baptist Church where she is a member of the youth and adult choirs. She has been accepted at State College and major in music Frostburg plans to education. Mr. Lasher is the son of Mr. and Mrs.' Neil Toey, Cresaptown, and Harland Lasher of Cumberland. He has participated in the vocal music department at Allegany for the past four years. He is a tenor section leader and soloist for the senior choir, a member of the Maryland All- State Chorus, Western Maryland Honor Chorus, and was selected to Who's Who Among Music Students in American High Schools. He also is invited to participate in" the summer tour of Europe. " He is a member of the Hi-Y, student government, and has served as a counselor for the county outdoor school program. He is active in the Cresaptown Athletic Association, rec league baseball and basketball, Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Department, a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He plans to attend Frostburg State and major in psychology and special education- Tickets for the musical may be obtained from members of the cast or at the school.
