ALTON a tour at 5 Election Judges at Wood River Replaced KrWARDSVlLLK- Five election judges in Wood River Township resigned late Wednesday and their replacements were promptly appointed by County Clerk Kulalia Hot/. Three of the five veplaeo- | ments were am'ong 13 judges whom Wood River Township Supervisor Fred 'Fritz) Grenzebach had sought to name for incumbents until the move was blocked recently by County Judge Michael Kinney. The five resigned election judges and their replacements appointed by the county clerk, after consulting with supervisor Grenzebach, are: Wood River Precinct 3- -Evelyn Kusmanoff, Josephine Butkovich and Dorothy Bates, replaced by Frank Starkey, Mrs. Catherine Kitson and Beatrice Kasten. Starkey and Mrs. Kitson had been named as replacements before County Judge Kinney held such appointments were made without authority. Wood River Precinct 15 -Audrey Akcrs, who has resigned since moving from the precinct, with Ruby Opal Williams ol Cottage Hills named Wednesday by the county clerk as the replacement..
