Y., MONDAY, AUGUST Coming in EXCHANGE CLUB TO HAVE PARTY Vitalone, third arraigned Entertainment Program Is Arranged; Surprise Being Planned The Exchange Club meeting for tomorrow night at Wenna Kenna Tea,Room promises to be quite an entertainment event.,The local club i.s out to equal the fine time they enjoyed in Rochester as guests of The Chiselers when they entertain a delegation of some 40 members of the Chiselers club. John Niblock is general chairman of the party tomorrow evening and has secured the services of Mel via Frarey with his accordion, a surprise ieature of the entertainment is of- lered in "The Black Plash" who will render some fine mipstrel numbers John Armstrong Also A First Winner in Archery Not only did Dr. A. W Armstrong, of North Main Street, archery expert, win first honors in "night" competition in the New York State Archery Association meet at Portageville Friday, but his son, John, also achieved first state honors in the Junior division of the same contest Dr. Armstrong took first place with a 'Shoot of 317 yards while his son piloted an arrow 292 yards for the Junior championship, a new record for the state. The bows and arrows used in the competition were made by Gorman McMillan, of Telyea street, a tribute to his workmanship. In fact all ot the equipment used by Dr. Arm- strong and John was made by Mr. McMillan. Following the contests a banquet was served Saturday night at the Commodore Hotel in Perry which the local artists attended. There were 80 guests present. As the result of the annual contest the Genesee Park Commission has decided to develop a new archery range at Letchworth park which in the future will be the scene of the state contests, it having been decided that Letchworth in the future will be the permanent home for the state shoot. Work is to be stsfrted soon to level and seed the plot to put it in shape for the state tourney scheduled next year the second week in August. v/as 500
