Stampeding Steers Slow Traffic; Two Killed Near Beloit Beloit (AP) — Steers that stampeded from a loading platform here roamed the highways Thursday and were troublesome to motorists. At least two of the animals were killed and /our others crippled •when they got In the path of vehicles. •Darrell Forbes, Solomon Rapids, Kas., Howard Tanner, Syracuse, and Earl Porter of near Beloit, •were drivers of vehicles that collided with some of the straying eteers, Nearly 500 steers stampeded Wednesday night as they were being transferred from rail cars to trucks for transportation to the Paul Mears farm near here. All but 40 were rounded up.
