New Rotary Club Formed in Wood River Last Night A Rotary club has been organized in Wood River, directors being elected and officers chosen at a meeting held at the office of Watson & Howard at Wood River, last evening. A committee of the Ailon Rotary club .had been holding conferences with a group from Wood River representing representing business men with a view to getting the Rotary club launched .there. Dr. H. C. Mlddleton, president president of the Alton club svas commissioned commissioned to perfect the organization. Though there are but 17 members go far the charter will be held open a few days with the view to getting 25 charter members, after which admission admission will be In th« regular manner. The members of the club who had !il<rned up last night were Emmett Howard, Val Rels, James Mahoney, H. E. Paton, Raymond D Stacker, L. F, Carter. Dr. J. H. Wccllg, Alvln Stolze, J. B. Frledrlcli, A. C. Hunt, A. H. Gibson, Francis J. Manning, Hobert E. Deans, Dr. Leo H, Konjen, Earl Stocker, William B. Dews, Ohnrles C. Stadtmnn, The directors elected are Howard, Relsm Mahoney, R, D. Stocker, Carter, Carter, Dr. Wedig, Stolze. The officers chosen by the board of directors are Emmett Howard, president; Val Rels, vice president; James Mahoney, secretary; secretary; H. E, Paton, treasurer. The club will "'.old an informal meeting Monday noon at Dletikers lunch room, which may be established as Rotary headquarters.
