Mrs. Prank Edwards was charming hostess Friday to members of the Alathean class of the First Baptist church at their annual Christmas party and business meeting. Mrs. Virgil Russell is leaving soon to make her home in Marble Falls this was turned into a farewell party in her honor. Mrs. O. B. King conducted the social hour. Following the scripture reading by Mrs. Emery, E. W. Goss offered prayer. Mesdames J. L. Stone and B. L. Harrington gave a duct. Mrs. Walter Wagers told a missionary Christmas story. A radio announcement from K R, G. V. told of the Russell's leaving soon. The guests then went the dining room where they were seated at a long table, and refreshments were served. Following this the gifts were placed on the table in front of Mrs. Russell, who opened and displayed them. Twenty-five members and two visitors, Mrs. Goss and Mrs. Ridenotis enjoyed this lovely hospitality. The next meeting will be third Friday in January.
