Obituary - Mary Polcheck Fendrick
Mary V. Fendrick Mary V. Fendrick, 94, of 696 Lincoln St., Hazleton, died Saturday morning at Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Larksville, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary (Piczak) Polcheck. She was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, West Hazleton, and before retiring, was employed in the local textile industry. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Samuel, in 1942; a brother Anthony Polcheck, Btepbrothers, Frank and Nicholas Bachman, a halfbrother, Edward Polcheck, and stepsisters, Josephine Gabler and Pauline Mihalick. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Herman (Eleanor) Topolski, Hazleton, Mrs. Stephen (Lorraine) Harris, Wilmington, Del., and Nora Pais, Hazlet, N.J.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., 542 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. in Transfiguration R.C. Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family would appreciate memorial donations to Transfiguration R.C. Church.
