Kinsel hearing in court
Postponed Till January 3. The fee suits of A. V. Dively, esq., against J. B. Cowen, John Coho, Rudy Farabaufrh. T. J. Armstrong, m. j. Boyer, Samuel Curry, W. B. Armstrong and Joseph Kinsel, before Alderman Doyle, were finally postponed yesterday afternoon until January 3. Almost the entire time of yesterday's hearing was taken up by Mr. Dively in endeavoring to prove that the fee claimed was not exorbitant. Twelve witnesses testified and half a hundred more were present on subpoenas. At the conclusion of the testimony everyone was as much at sea as ever, so the case was postponed. Alderman Doyle humorously remarked last evening in regard to the postponement: "For the convenience of everybody concerned I postponed the case until January 3; that is so far ahead that they didn't know if it would be convenient or not."
