Frightful Scene—Narrow Escape of a iiTTLE Girl.—About 6 o'clock on last Saturday Saturday evening the horse that little Fannle Mc- Chesney, aged 12 years, daughter of Dr. Wm. S. McChesney, waß riding, came dashing down Augusta street at rapid speed, the little girl being being unable to hold It In check, and as the persons persons on the street witnessed it, they ran into the middle of the street to stop It, and as the horse was suddenly stopped by being caught by the bridle reins, by Wm. B. McChesney, the brother of the little girl, she fell off the horse backwards, but fortunately her fall was broken by the arm of her brother who caught her, otherwise otherwise she might have been killed. The cheeks of those who witnessed it were blanched with dread as they feared she would be killed or seriously seriously injured. We are pleased to state that she was not injured.
